A Blessing and a Curse

Sometimes the lights downtown get kinda blurry. And I'm just sitting still and I'm still in a hurry. I never thought I would fight to try to stand upright. These are the days when nobody says I'm sorry.

Sometimes I look pretty good when I close my eyes. I think you look good too in your favorite disguise. I never thought I would think, "...don't need another drink." These are the days when the truth is built from lies.

Sometimes I shake my head and things fall out. I'm not embarrassed, but at times, it draws a crowd. I guess it is what it is...suppose it could be worse. These are the days when everything's a blessing and a curse.
